Once you reach the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA), which encircles the entire city and can be reached from any direction, take Exit 1, toward Rome city center. This will take you directly onto Via Aurelia. You should never leave it, so follow it to Piazza Irnerio, and then continue until you reach the Vatican walls. At the intersection just before the walls, turn right, staying on Via Aurelia. The Aurelia Residence is on your right, at number 145.
Aurelia Residence San Pietro can arrange a transfer service from the airport to the residence upon request, or you can find a taxi service directly at the airport.
If you prefer to take the train, there are trains departing from Fiumicino Airport station approximately every half hour for Rome Termini, which takes 30 minutes to reach the city.
From Rome Termini you can take either a train or the metro + bus.
TRAIN: From Rome Termini, take the train to Rome St. Peter's Station. From there, the residence is a 10-minute walk. Follow the pedestrian crossing to Via Gregorio VII, cross it, and access Via Aurelia from Via Sergio I and Via Leone IX.
METRO + BUS: From Roma Termini, take the Metro A (Red) line towards Battistini. Once you get off at Ottaviano station, walk along Via Ottaviano towards St. Peter's Basilica. Once you reach Piazza Risorgimento, you'll find Via Crescenzio on your left. On Via Crescenzio, take bus line 49 towards Largo Millesimo. As soon as bus 49 leaves the Vatican walls and reaches Via Aurelia, get off. In front of you, on the other side of the street, Via Aurelia descends along the side of the hill; at number 145, you'll find the Aurelia Residence San Pietro.
If you're coming from Roma Termini station, you can take a train to Roma St. Pietro station approximately every half hour. The Aurelia Residence is about a 5-minute walk away.
Alternatively, from Roma Termini you can also take bus 64, get off at the “Cavalleggeri/S. Pietro” stop, and walk for 8 minutes to the Aurelia Residence.
Alternatively, you can take Metro Line A (Red Line) from Termini Station towards Battistini. Once you get off at Ottaviano Station, walk along Via Ottaviano towards St. Peter's. Once you reach Piazza Risorgimento, you'll find Via Crescenzio on the left. On Via Crescenzio, take bus 49 towards Largo Millesimo. As soon as bus 49 leaves the Vatican walls and reaches Via Aurelia, get off. In front of you on the other side of the street, Via Aurelia goes downhill, and at number 145 you'll find the Aurelia Residence San Pietro.
You can also find a taxi service directly at the station.
If you're coming from the secondary stations of Ostiense, Tuscolana, or Tiburtina, all of these stations are connected to the central station of Roma San Pietro by a metropolitan rail service, with trains leaving every half hour. From there, you can walk to the Aurelia Residence in about 5 minutes.
From Tiburtina Station, you can also reach Termini Station by taking the Metro B (Blue Line) towards Laurentina. From Termini Station, you can reach the Aurelia Residence by metro, bus, or train (see above).
